Product
The flagship series serves as the showcase of Haier's core brand values of connecting technology, food, and user health. It is both the largest and most expensive in the Haier brand portfolio. The product, designed by Porche Design, features an embedded 21" tft display, multiple exterior and interior cameras, and exterior microphones and speakers.
Role
Oversight & Coordination
As Phoenix does not have PM roles, I assumed the role working directly with client POs as well as working internally with administration coordinating internal and freelance staffing, capacity needs, and budget allocation.

Working with Account Lead and Strategy, I define and structured the project roadmap balancing internal capacity, client product roadmap, internal and client business objectives from proposal to developer handoff both ahead of schedule & under budget.

The designated MVP included the new Core Hub views, an updated onboarding experience, four new features, a new look and feel, a unique global navigation, and a extension of Haier's dynamic user health profile system.

Conducting a workshop featuring identical exercises, we engaged two distinct groups— the leadership and the product team. The outcomes revealed insights into project prioritization and identified potential challenges in achieving the intended results.

New Look
Finding a balance between the user's desires of a softer, more approachable, and better suited in the interior design environment and Haier brand DL of 'high technology engineered', two new design principles were create; 'Futurist' and 'Soft Transparency' (literal translation). Through a iterative process, the final design was user-validated before moving into full production.
Vertical Navigation
A new architecture and vertical navigation system was create to better leverage the 21" vertical tft display. A fixed sidebar was added to solve feature discovery and fix user mental modeling of the different hubs which have overlapping functionalities.
