Navigating the complexities of smart, intuitive, and efficient storage management for food, items (including medicine and beauty products) has presented an enduring challenge for prominent brands. This pivotal feature not only functions as the cornerstone for more intelligent capabilities but also holds significant potential for market differentiation.
The 'Instant Assessment' feature offers a seamless and efficient user experience, facilitating the input of items through a dynamic Voice User Interface (VUI).

A conclusive high-fidelity prototype underwent diverse testing exercises with users to validate UX, assess feature desirability, and evaluate UI. This culminated in a final assessment presented to Haier's leadership prior to transitioning into full-scale production.

For every item, the inventory management system displayed and made interactive specific meta-data encompassing health, quantity, quality, type, purchasing details, and physical location.

Numerous challenges associated with item input and removal required iterative refinement across a diverse range of items, locations, and patterns. Our comprehensive approach aimed to troubleshoot potential pain points and remove blockers for end users.

User & Stakeholder Demos
Due to China's Zero Covid policy, we were unable to conduct a live demo of our final prototype with Haier leadership. To supplement our results, we recorded a variety of canned demos replicating our validation results. This particular demo was recorded to alleviate leadership concerns regarding the speed and effeciency of the feature.
